Imperial Session

What is an Imperial Session?

Each July, Shriners from around the world come together for their annual business meeting, known as Imperial Session. During the week-long event, held in a different host city each year, members meet to discuss and vote onthe business matters of Shriners International and Shriners Children’s. The fraternity also hosts a variety of family-friendly events that are open to the public, including a parade, which is the world’s largest Shriners parade of the year. The week ends with the installation of the new Imperial Potentate (CEO) of Shriners International.

When is the next Imperial Session?

Imperial Session 2021

The 2021 Imperial Session was held in Houston Texas from July 4-8. Illustrious Sir Jeff Lindstrand and Lady Kate led a contingent of 17 Oriental Shriners to the Houston Hampton Inn on July 3rd. The hospitality suite was based in the Homewood Suites which was in the same building. The Temple hosted a dinner Monday night that included members of Cyprus Temple and Imperial Sir Kevin Costello and Lady Jill. Everyone was free to check out all that Houston had to offer and many fun trips were taken and enjoyed. Several of us went to the Zoo, the Space Center, the Houston Astros ballpark, shopping, dining, and sightseeing. We also went to several Imperial sponsored events including a Food Truck event, a Bellamy Brothers concert, the Imperial Marketplace, the Shriner parade and the installation of the Imperial Officers. The Officers attended the business meetings for Imperial and the Cribari organization. Look at our pictures to see some of the fun we had. Consider joining us next year for this great event.
